2. Rascal Flatts

On the American Idol Results show, Carrie Underwood performed “Bless This Broken Road” with Rascal Flatts, who are one of her favorite country groups.

3. "Independence Day"

Carrie Underwood was just 22 years old when she was crowned American Idol on May 25th, 2005, beating out Bo Bice. During the show, Carrie sang a few Martina McBride songs, including “Independence Day.”

4. World's Sexiest Vegetarian

Carrie is a well known vegan and in 2005 was voted “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian”, sharing the honor with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin of Coldplay.

5. "Some Hearts"

Her debut album, “Some Hearts” was released in February 2006 and went on to sell over 7 million copies, and included her first single, “Inside Your Heaven.” From there the rest is history.

Carrie Underwood’s die-hard fans are know as “Care Bears” because he name sounds like “Care” and she was a member of the same sorority as the co-creator of the “Care Bears.”
