With recent news of Taylor Swift‘s brand new album Red hitting shelves on October 22, the country and pop world were in a bigger frenzy when the starlet debuted her brand new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” live on her YouTube chat on August 13.Red

Now Swift fans are in for a bigger treat as Taylor will hit the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6 to perform her new single for the first time ever on television. The new song is already climbing charts and is expected to break records as the fastest selling digital track ever.

Alongside Taylor, MTV has announced other performers including pop band One Direction, rockers Green Day, R&B diva Alicia Keys and pop singer Pink.

The MTV Video Music Awards air live September 6 at 8pm ET on MTV.
